How to Help Your Toddler Learn the Alphabet:

We often joke that something is as easy as A B C, and yet knowing the alphabet is the cornerstone to your kid’s education. If you want your little one to know how to read, communicate and express herself, she should start learning the letters of the alphabet at a tender age.

If you are here, you are probably looking for the best alphabet book for toddlers. But, how do you actually teach your toddler alphabet? Here are some great tips to keep in mind:

Start early

When it comes to teaching your kids the alphabet, it is never too early to begin. When she is a toddler is the best place to start. At this age, children are very curious and their minds are malleable. This is the best time for them to absorb and internalize new knowledge.

Take advantage of playtime and games

Toddlers and pretty much kids at any age learn the most through something fun. As such, you need to teach them letters in a manner that’s fun, exciting and yet formal.

Incorporate the alphabet into reading time, which is why you should have a handful of ABC books for babies handy.

More importantly, when you are reading or playing make sure to take it easy on the little ones and ensure to slow down when it comes to the parts with the alphabet. With play and games, your child will be more than happy to learn the letters of the alphabet without too much pressure.

Don’t forget to include alphabet books for toddlers in your reading

When you are comfortable to read to your little one, it is high time to bring ABC books for babies in your reading routine. There are several beautifully illustrated alphabet books for preschoolers available today.

However, if you want your child to learn faster and more effectively,  It should have relatable pictures to make it easy and fun for you to read to the kid.

In saying so, The Alphabet Book For Toddlers: ABC Made Easy by Thomas K. Evans comes highly recommended for babies, as well as 2 & 3-year-old preschoolers. From my experience, this picture book is great for children between 3 and 5 too. You can purchase a digital version for Kindle, or get it in paperback.
